Why have your kids spend spring break at home when they can be exploring all that UC Davis Youth Programs has to offer? With this year’s Boredom Busters, we are offering our Youth Program Sampler filled with our popular summer activities. Campers will engage in a week packed with many wonderful activities including sports, crafts, dance/theatre and more. Participants will be exposed to some of the University’s facilities, including the rock wall at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC). These activities will also be complemented by many outdoor games and sports, such as Flag Football and Ultimate Frisbee. Campers will also have a chance to showcase their artistic skills through various dance/theatre and craft activities. Not only does Boredom Busters provide a fun, active, and educational experience for kids to fill their spring break with, but it also familiarizes them with everything that UC Davis has to offer the community.

Youth Programs 9th Annual Children's Summer Activities Faire

Showcase of Davis Summertime Youth Programs

Saturday March 14, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Davis Farmer's Market

UC Davis Campus Recreation and Unions and the City of Davis Community Services Department will be hosting the 9th Annual Children’s Summer Activities Faire on Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Davis Farmer’s Market. The Faire is a free event that will feature children’s crafts and other activities. In an effort to promote Davis’s youth-oriented summer programs, the Faire promises a day of fun and games for both children and parents alike.

Spring Swim Lessons

Learn to swim at the Rec Pool. During the spring and summer, we offer group swimming lessons. Due to the many skills required at each new level, it is not uncommon for children to repeat a class. If you are unsure of your child’s swimming level, please stop by the Rec Pool during rec swim to have your child evaluated by a manager. We will try to accommodate additional classes based on demand and available pool space. However, this means we reserve the right to cancel or combine classes with fewer than three participants. After taking a class, if your child advances to the next level please be sure to notify the Youth Programs Administrative Office on the last day of the lesson so we can move them, based on availability, into that new level.
