Are you looking for specific instruction for improving your practice? FitWell is proud to offer private yoga lessons through our mind body program. Recieve instructions tailored to help you reach your goals from one of our skilled yoga teachers.
These private yoga lessons can either be one-on-one or buddy depending on your interest. You also have the opportunity to work with either a student instructor or one of our contract instructors. Prices vary depending on instructor.

Active CRU membership is required to attend classes all throughout the year, including summers.
Class registration ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 14th. All transfer requests need to be submitted to the Fitness & Wellness Center by April 14th at noon.
Mind/Body Mat Policy:
For hygiene purposes, we will now be requiring students to bring their own mats to yoga and/or Pilates classes. If you do forget to bring a mat, we will have a limited amount of mats available for checkout before class.
AcroYoga is a partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of Thai Massage. It cultivates trust, playfulness, and community, while building strength, balance and flexibility. Typically working in teams of three, where each takes turns basing, flying and spotting, to support and empower each other to reach new heights and celebrate the joy of embodiment.
This yoga class will provide strengthening, toning and deepstretch. Breath is coordinated with movement, while enduring poses as well as breathing through a flow. This class will make you sweat, open you up and connect your heart/breathing to your movement. Good for intermediate learning and also for beginners.
Improve balance, strength and endurance with BarreFlow, an energetic one hour class.
BarreFlow is cardio dance, Pilates, Yoga and fitness inspired method designed to sculpt your entire body from head to toe. This barefoot class utilizes a portable Ballet Barre and incorporates weights, bands and balls for arms, buttocks and core sculpting. This fluid blend of Pilates, dance, fitness and Yoga will give you a continuous flowing workout with the perfect balance of strength, flexibility and cardio fitness.
Candlelight Yin Yoga
A class created for all fitness levels, Yin is a style of yoga designed to work, lengthen, and strengthen the deep muscle tissue: the Myofascia. This will complement anyone including all yogis, athletes, and students of all types. The class will be accompanied by soothing music and held in a room lit by candlelight to build a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
Meditation and Yin Yoga
Experience the benefits when meditation meets yin yoga. In this class you will be guided through a meditation, and explore a variety of stretches targeting the connective tissue, ligaments, and joints. Enjoy the dimmed lights and soothing music as you allow your body and mind to achieve a deeper state of rest and relaxation.
More than just a physical workout, come and be inspired, energized and revitalized. Each class will start with a sequence of warm ups, followed by deeper yoga postures and strengthening exercises - ending with a short meditation. All levels will be accommodated, but be prepared to sweat! The physical practice provides the discipline to begin the spiritual path - preparing the way for you to have the power to consciously manifest your dreams. Moving beyond the superficial, we will also take time to reflect on what drives you and work to release whatever is holding you back from reaching your greatest potential.
An intense, full body workout designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve overall health. My intention is to help students to create long lean muscle mass, burn fat, and increase fitness levels. It is performed on a yoga mat making it zero impact, therefore protecting joints and muscles from the pounding of other exercises that include running and jumping.
Think weight room meets yoga. Vinyasa yoga with weights helps build the balance between strengthening and lengthening your body while emphasizing the power of your breath. In this class you will have the option to incorporate weights to help build bone density and tone your body. At the same time, the upbeat music will help fuel your energy for a worthwhile workout.
Morning Vinyasa Yoga
Wake up your morning with an energetic flowing class, synchronizing breath with movement, allowing your yoga practice to become a moving meditation. Build strength, flexibility and concentration. Vinyasa relieves tension in the body and calms the mind. Each class will include breathwork, meditation, relaxation and thorough instructions on refinement of poses. Students are encouraged to work at their own level.
YogaCore is designed to give you a total mind/body fitness experience. Each YogaCore class features strength, cardiovascular conditioning and flexibility with a flowing Yoga fitness format. Group fitness specialist Lauretta Hyatt Chan combines the ancient Hatha Yoga practice with safe & effective modern fitness movements. YogaCore is appropriate for all fitness levels.
Roll It Out
This class incorporates foam rolling and deep stretching techniques that release excess tension while strengthening postures that create proper body alignment. Stretch and release classes are known to correct pain-causing habits, such as slouching, pain-adaptation, aid in recovery from injury, and sharpen recreational and work performance.
Dim the lights, put on some soothing music, and let any stress just melt away. This slow-paced class uses a variety of postures to hold for about five minutes, targeting the connective tissue, ligaments, and joints. It is important to bend so we do not break, so use this class to compliment your exercise routine and maintain balance in your body.
The practice of Yoga is a complete system of practices including stretches, meditation and breathe exercises that date back to ancient India. It works on the physical and subtle body to soften the dense outer layers of our being allowing us to feel and know ourselves. By softening the physical body, we relax and become more comfortable with who we are. Yoga brings us closer to what is true for us and gives us courage to stand rooted in our authentic selves. We become confident and peaceful because we realize we are already perfect (even within our imperfections) and exactly where we need to be in this process and journey called life.
