Who Can Play

Intramural (IM) Sports activities are available to all current undergraduate and graduate students who paid full-time or part-time registration fees, as well as University Affiliates who have a current CRU Membership. Complete eligibility rules are available online here.

Entry Fees

All student captains will have their entry fee(s) billed directly to their student account by the end of the quarter. All CRU Members must pay their team entry fee(s) at the ARC Business Center by a deadline set by the Intramural Sports Office. Failure to pay team entry fee(s) will result in captain being suspended until fee(s) are paid.

Forfeits

A forfeit constitutes:

  1. Non-appearance.
  2. Less than required minimum number of players on the field/court at game time.
  3. Late appearance (not ready to play 5 minutes after the scheduled game time).
  4. Use of an ineligible player (i.e., a player who plays on more than the allowed number of teams or a player who is not in possession of a valid CRU Membership or valid UCD Student ID).
  5. Cancellation of contest with less than 24 business hours notice to Intramural Sports Office.

A forfeit by a team will result in a fine of $20 being assessed ($10 fine for individual/dual sports). The team captain has 7 days to protest the forfeit. Should the team incur a second forfeit (same or different reason), another forfeit fine will be assessed and the team may be dropped from further play. For student captains, fines will be billed to the team captain's university account. CRU Member captains must pay their fine(s) at the ARC Business Center.
